What are the official minimum and recommended specs?
The following values come from Steam, checked on October 27. They are the publisher’s targets, not our benchmarks. Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12 and SSD installation are listed for both tiers.[1]
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core i5-10600K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
| GPU | GTX 1660 6GB / RX 5500 XT 8GB | RTX 3060 Ti 8GB / RX 6700 XT 12GB |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Target (upscaling on) | 1080p / 30 FPS | 1440p / 60 FPS |
Why does the upscaling condition matter?
A resolution and frame-rate target is incomplete without its rendering conditions. Do not compare a native-resolution test with an upscaled target as if they were the same measurement. The listing does not establish a 4K, ray-tracing or handheld guarantee.
How can you compare settings without misleading yourself?
Use this general measurement checklist. It is a repeatable recording method, not a claim that a specific setting fixes Phantom Blade Zero. If a menu option is absent in your build, do not invent it or force an unsupported configuration.
- Record game version, driver, CPU/GPU, RAM and whether the game is on an SSD.
- Record output resolution and the upscaling mode actually enabled.
- Use the same scene and camera path when comparing two settings.
- Change one setting at a time and distinguish average FPS from visible stutter.
Does this establish Steam Deck performance?
No. Desktop component targets do not establish portable-device results. Use the separate handheld page for its attributed report and limitations. We have not produced a retail benchmark or a tested best-settings preset.
